Vivian Sutlin, 88, passes away

On a snowy night, November 11, 2019 Ms. Vivian Sutlin, 88, of Chesterton, IN passed away peacefully at the Visiting Nurses Association of Valparaiso Hospice. At her side were her twin brothers, Jerrold and Joel Sutlin and sister-in-law Adina Sutlin.

Vivian’s long and accomplished life began in Chicago, IL, in April 1931.

After attending two years at Roosevelt University where she was voted Miss Roosevelt University 1949, she later entered the new world of television advertising where she earned many industry awards for excellence, eventually rising to the office of Vice President of a leading International Advertising company.

She will be remembered as a dynamic and loving daughter to her parents, Sam and Doris Sutlin (deceased), sister to Maxine (Harold) (both deceased), brothers Jerrold and Joel Sutlin (Adina), aunt to niece Molly Froelich, nephews Gregory Froelich (deceased), David (Susanne), Max (Dena) and several grandnephews.

Vivian moved from Chicago to New York City and then retired to Boca Raton, FL, where she enjoyed swimming and tennis for several years before moving to Chesterton.

She rests now next to her parents at Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery, in Arlington Heights, IL.
