Joseph William
Ranalli, age 94 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away on January 23, 2019. He was
born on May 14, 1924 in Columbus, OH to Croce and Carmella Ranalli, both of
whom preceded him in death.
On May 21, 1973, he
married his loving wife, Geraldine H. Killosky Ranalli, who survives in
Valparaiso, IN.
He is also survived
by his children: Sandy Ranalli of Portage, IN, Debbie (Ron) Wahl of Porter,
IN and Rocky (Gene) Guernsey of Valparaiso, IN; his grandchildren: Heather
(John) Handley, Eric Jacobs, Joshua (Kara) Jacobs, Laurin Guernsey,
Stephanie Guernsey, Amanda Young, and Aaron Young; his great-grandchildren:
Aiden, Taegan and Zane; his siblings: Emilio (Maranna) Ranalli, Angelina
(Ben) Griggs, and Gino (Francis) Ranalli; his brother-in-law, Jim Killosky;
and by his many nieces and nephews.
He is also preceded
in death by his daughter, Charlotte; his brothers, Biagio and John; by his
sister, Philomena; and by his brother-in-law, Alex Killosky.
Joseph proudly and
humbly served his country during WWII as a solder in the United States Army
and was awarded the Purple Heart for bravery. He loved golfing, bowling, and
playing horse shoes. He was a good artist and most of all, he loved spending
time with his family and friends.
Funeral Services
will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 4 p.m. at White-Love Funeral
Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN with Rev. Erik Bernth officiating. The
family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of service at
the funeral home.
