Deborah L. “Debi” Meyers, 62, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017.

She was born October 17, 1954, in Chicago, IL, and graduated from New Trier West High School. Debi had been a carrier for “The Times”, “Post-Tribune” and “Chesterton Tribune” for the past 17 years. She took great pride in decorating her large old farmhouse with antiques, a flower garden and lots of hostas, which served as her home for the past 20 years. Many of her home treasures were acquired at Kane County flea market, garage sales and numerous antique forays. Debi’s large dogs, love of horses and plentiful hydrangea plantings will live on with her family as a reminder of her tender and caring spirit.

On September 15, 2001, she married Duane Meyers who survives along with her daughter, Jennifer (Joseph) Stach of Palatine, IL, step-children, Margaret (David) Porcher, Andrew (Jodie) Meyers, sister, Judy Howard, and grandchildren, Oliver and Noah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Bernice Howard.

A visitation will be held Sunday, from 12 noon - 2 p.m., at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the family.
