Iris Mae Pratt, 89,
of Valparaiso passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016.
She was born March
13, 1927 in Kankakee, IL, to Marvin and Gertrude (Tatro) Lawson.
She graduated from
Crown Point High School in 1947, and served as a waitress for many years for
Bill Wellman and various other restaurants then made her career in the Crane
Department at Bethlehem Steel for 13 years. Iris was a member of Boone Grove
Christian Church and participated in Project Care at Boone Grove High
School.
Survivors include
her close friend, Carl Graeber of Valparaiso, daughters: Diana (Kenneth)
Pitts of Hebron, Valerie (George) Wroblewski of Valparaiso, Cheryl Pratt of
Valparaiso, daughter-in-law, Brilla Pratt of Watseka, IL, sister, Norma Jean
(Everett) Davison of Watseka, IL, grandchildren: Scott (Monica) Garvey,
Jayme (Dennis) McLean, Shawn Wroblewski, Kelly Wroblewski, Mandy (Kenny)
Gilbert and great-grandchildren: Jessica, Drew, Grantlee, Garrett, Joey,
Christian, Noah and Jesse.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, son, Larry Pratt in 2013, brother, Roland Lawson &
sister, Barbara Purgett.
A visitation will
be held Friday from 2:30 Ð 5:30 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt
Rd., Valparaiso, with funeral service beginning at 5:30 p.m., Pastor Jim
Norris officiating.

may be made to Boone Grove Christian Church.
