Robert Earl 'Bob' Baum passes away at age 93

Robert Earl “Bob” Baum, age 93 of Sebastian, FL, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016.

Born in Chicago, IL on July 18, 1923, he was the youngest child of Martha and F. Earl Baum, both of whom preceded him in death.

On March 8, 1946, he married Marjorie L. Treacy, his devoted wife of 70 years, who continues to reside in Sebastian, FL.

Also surviving are his daughter, Barbara (Rick) Reed of Bay City, MI, and son David T. Baum of New Braunfels, TX. Daughter Victoria (Murray) Boyer preceded him in death in 1977. Robert has four grandchildren, Holly A. Baum and David E. Baum, Esq., both of Chesterton, and Tracy M. Baum of Addison, TX. Dawn (Robert) Letson of Bay City, MI, and great-grandchildren, Ian Letson and Evan Letson, also of Bay City, MI.

Bob was a long-time resident of Porter, IN, where he established a highly successful wholesale electronics business known as Chesterton Electronic Supply. Over the years he was doing business there, he received much good-natured ribbing about the name of the business. Bob was a World War I and World War II history buff. He visited many of the famous European battlefields and cemeteries.

At Robert’s request, no ceremony was conducted. Arrangements were handled by Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming St, Sebastian, FL, 32958.
