Celebration of Life June 5 for Arthur E. Clark, Jr.

Arthur Edmond Clark, Jr., age 74, of Chesterton entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at St. Anthony’s hospital in Michigan City.

Eddie was born in Gary, IN, on July 12, 1941, to Arthur E. and Juliana J. (Blanda) Clark, Sr.,

He graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary, IN. Eddie worked as a switchman and yardmaster at Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railroad for 39 1/2 years. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, Izaak Walton League of America, Miller, IN Chapter, and the Michigan City Rifle Club. He was an expert marksman and avid history buff. He enjoyed his quiet time fishing. Hobbies included model trains, penny collecting and puzzles of all types. Eddie loved to get his hands dirty working on boat engines along side his friend, Chuck Banks, owner of CMS.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Ann (Williams) Clark. They were married on November 4, 1967 and together they raised two children: beloved daughter JoAnn (Robert) Callegari, of Michigan City, IN, and son Donald (Heather) Clark, of Valparaiso, IN; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Brook Barber of Michigan City, IN, and Alexandria Jean Koepke of LaPorte, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a celebration of life held at Gelsosomo’s Pizza, in Chesterton, on Sunday, June 5, 2016, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Family and friends welcome.
