Lyola K. Fletcher, age 99
of Chesterton, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Chesterton.
She was born on October 20,
1915 in North Judson, IN, to Henry Lain and Elizabeth Bailey-Lain, both of
whom preceded her in death.
On December 25, 1938, she
married George E. Fletcher, who she was married to for 77 years, who
survives in Chesterton.
She is also survived by her
sons, Charles (Mary) Fletcher of Valparaiso, Robert Fletcher of Lake
Village, IN, and by her daughter, Alice (Pete) Jenson of Fredericksburg, TX,
and by her daughter-in-law, Joan Fletcher of Chesterton.
Also surviving are her
eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by
her sons, George Fletcher and Walter Fletcher and her daughter-in-law, Patty
Fletcher and is also preceded in death by her siblings: John Lain, Charles
Lain, Lewis Lain, Stewert Lain, Fletcher Lain and Dora Henrichs.
Lyola was an Eastern Star
when it was part of the Chesterton Lodge 379, a member of the White Shrine
and was also a member of the Order of the Amaranth.
Funeral services will be
held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 11 a.m., at White-Love Funeral Home, 525
S. 2nd St., with Pastor Lori Rizer officiating. Burial will follow at
Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.
The family will receive
friends on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
