Services Sunday for Kay Romaine Copollo

Kay Romaine Copollo, “Grandma Kay,” passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Porter Regional Hospital with family by her side.

She was born on December 14, 1937 in Chesterton to Oliver Isbey and Lorene Hall-Rowe, both of whom preceded her in death.

Kay is survived by her sons: Carl Copollo Jr. of Porter, Michael Copollo of Porter and Brian (Cynthia) Copollo of Porter; her grandchildren: Joshua Little of Florida, Joshua (Brittany) Copollo of Porter, Brittany (Ben) Stoll of Valparaiso, U.S. Army Specialist Christopher Copollo of New York, Brandon (Heather) Copollo of Porter, Aaron Copollo of Porter, Zachary Copollo of Chesterton, and Anthony Copollo of Chesterton; her great-grandchildren: Bailee, Tyler, Jordan, Madison, Kace, and Conner, along with her brothers, Ronald (Sherry) Isbey of Sumner, Washington and James (Dolores) Isbey of Chesterton, are also surviving, along with many nieces and nephews.

Also those that were a part of her family, Bonnie Samuelson, Dawn Wiza-Phillips, and Jamie Copollo, along with her special lifelong friend, Linda Burton, are also surviving.

Kay is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Copollo Sr., who passed away on February 6, 2005, and her sister Marilyn Carlson.

Kay was a lifelong member of the Porter United Methodist Church and was very active in the Duneland Seniors Club, the Porter Fire Women’s Auxiliary, and her class of 1956 luncheons. She enjoyed spending her time volunteering at the soup kitchen and the food pantry in Porter. But above all, her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 4 p.m. at the Porter United Methodist Church, 100 E Beam St., Porter, IN, with Pastor Dee Miller officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 12 until 4 p.m., at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton.

Memorial donations may be given to her church.
