Julie J. Richardson (nee Morford) age 53, of Chesterton, IN, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015, at Hospice Franciscan Communities in Michigan City, IN.

Julie was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, on October 9, 1961, to Dale and Maxine (nee Smith) Morford, who preceded her in death.

Julie is survived by her husband Larry Richardson; children: Ron Morford, Krystal (Mark) Wert and Jennifer Stephenson; eight grandchildren: Kaleb, Sara, Joshua, Mark, Melody, Nadia, Symphony and Heaven; brothers: Ivan (Laura) Morford, John (Jaime) Morford and William (Dawn) Morford; sisters: Sue (Joe) Trujillo and Nancy (Lonnie) Kelley. She was also preceded in death by sisters: Cindy Morford, Mary Morford, Patricia Livingston and Sharon Morris, and brother: Stuart Morris.

Julie grew up in Michigan City where she belonged to St. Luke Lutheran Church. She volunteered her time for the Westchester Neighborhood Food Pantry, the DAV Auxiliary and participated in numerous school functions while her children and grandchildren attended school. Julie enjoyed cooking and sewing, but most of all she loved the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home located at 613 Washington St. Michigan City, IN.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, with Pastor Thelma Megill-Cobbler of St. Luke Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, IN.

Memorial contributions may be made in Julie’s name to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 2000 E. Coolspring Ave., Michigan City, IN, or Westchester Neighborhood Food Pantry, 801 Broadway, Chesterton, IN.
