She was born on August 7, 1982, at Porter Memorial Hospital, in Valparaiso.

She is survived by her father, Leroy Proper, of Valparaiso, and her mother, Jacque (Maher) Rumple, of Chesterton. She is also survived by her step-sister Alli and step-brother PJ Rumple, of Chesterton, grandmother, Elsie Maher, of Chesterton, aunt Monica (Gus) Demertsidis, of Fernandina Beach, FL, uncles Frank Proper, of Chesterton, Richard (Georgia) Proper, of Sun City, AZ, and Jerry Proper of Naples, FL, along with a number of cousins, and special friends Mark Hague, of Chicago, IL and Paul Lee, of Chicago, IL.

Lindsey graduated from Chesterton High School in 2000. Lindsey had just returned to her former favorite job position at Theater Council Productions in Chicago. She was active in Dance Academy, had the skills of a number of dance styles, enjoyed equestrian horseback riding, and had an enormous passion for music. She dearly loved her pet Chihuahua Bugsly and cared for all animals. It was more her pleasure to take care of the well-being of others rather than to be concerned about herself. A smile made by Lindsey could fill a room and be felt by all. Lindsey left a lasting impression on those who knew and loved her and will be greatly missed, fondly remembered.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home immediately following visitation.

Online condolences may be left for the family at www.EE-FH.com.
