Services Thursday for Cassandra Kennedy

Cassandra L. Kennedy, age 32 of Chesterton, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014.

She is survived by her father Thomas (Faith) Kennedy; brother William (Lynn) Kennedy; sister Christina Kennedy; step-brother Brian (Mindy) Greenfield; step-sister Deborah (Mike) Kurz; uncle David (Kathy) Kennedy; aunt Susan (Jim) Rynard; niece Kaitlyn Kurz; and many cousins. Preceded in death by her mother Deborah; paternal grandparents William and Janet Kennedy; maternal grandparents Charles and Carol Bratcher; and her uncle Charles Bratcher.

Cassandra was a graduate of Chesterton High School. She had a wonderful talent and gift of musical ability having played primarily the clarinet and piano. She played with the Michigan City Summer Band, the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra, and had most recently played the piano at services for Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Chesterton. She was an animal lover and had volunteered much of her time to the care and fostering of many animals over the years.

Family and friends may call at White Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 11 a.m. directly from Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2050 W. 1100 N., Chesterton, with Rev. Erik Grayvold officiating. There will be visitation at the church 1Ú2 hour prior to services. She will be laid to rest at Chesterton Cemetery.
