Service Tuesday for Samuel Mamula 95

Samuel Mamula, age 95 of Chesterton, Ind., passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the VNA Hospice Center.

He was born on August 7, 1918, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Sam is survived by his wife, Marianne Subotich Mamula, of Chesterton; sons Jeff Coleman of Chesterton, and Mark (Patricia) Coleman of Valparaiso, Ind.; two grandchildren Jaron and Trina, sister Daisy Mamula of Virginia and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ann and Olga.

Sam was a retired bricklayer for Local #6. He was an Army Veteran who proudly served his country during WWII. He was a member of the Chesterton Moose Lodge 1623 and a member of the Chesterton American Legion Post 170. He loved to bowl and enjoyed taking long walks through his neighborhood.

Funeral services will be held at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton, Ind., on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. with Father Marco officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
