Anna Budimier service Saturday

Anna L. Budimier (nee Bowles), age 69 of Chesterton, Ind., formerly of Lake Station, Ind., passed away peacefully on November 4, 2013, at home with her family.

Anna was born on November 2, 1944, in Lawrence County, Arkansas, to Thurman and Mildred Bowles.

She is survived by daughters Melony (Travis) Dobson of Chesterton, and Vickie (Randy) Moss of Gary, Ind.,; sons Charles (Bonnie) Nix of Covington, Ind., Steve (Kim) Darnold of Topeka, Ind., and Rich Darnold; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are her brother Thurman Jr. (Joann) Bowles of London, Ark.; sisters Rheba (DeWayne) Crosley of Clarksville, Ark., Wilma (Kyle) Yates of Norlina, N. Car., and Shirley (Jerry) Hardin of London, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, her daughter Marilyn, her son Arthur, her brother Bennie Bowles and her parents.

Anna was a woman of faith and a member of Bible Baptist Church of Portage, Ind. She supported many ministries throughout the years. She was owner of Anne’s Concessions and thoroughly enjoyed traveling. She loved cooking and was famous for many of her desserts. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church, 6659 US Highway 6, Portage, Ind., with Pastor Don Good officiating. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Donations may be made on Anna’s behalf to Bible Baptist Church.
