Joseph 'Joe' Gall dies at 74

Joseph “Joe” Gall, age 74, of Valparaiso, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Hines VA Hospital in Hines, Ill.

Joe was born on February 12, 1937 in East Chicago, Ind., to John and Sally (Sakry) Gall.

Joe is survived by his son, Craig Woosley of Chesterton; daughter, Michelle (Warren) Smith of LaPorte, Ind.; grandchildren, Ronnie (Rebecca) Geer, Sasha Betancourt, Rebecca (Bobby) LaRue, Bianca Woosley and Skylar Woosley; great-grandchildren, Billy, Rush, Temperance, Teagan and Leah; nieces, Joanne (Jeff) Wilson, Helen (Jim) Heavilin and Joyce (Patrick) Robinson; nephew, Edward Gall; sister-in-law, Vicki Gall of Valparaiso, and many great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gilbert Gall and nephew Ron Gall.

He served in the U.S. Army. Joe was a trap shooter and enjoyed fishing and gun clubs.

A visitation will be held on Monday January 23, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, Ind.

A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Ind.
