Service set for Antonio Francisco Ayala

Antonio Francisco Ayala of Gary passed away Friday, Oct.15, 2010. He was 56.

He was born July 5, 1954 in East Chicago to Salvador and Esperanza (Ramirez) Ayala, who preceded him in death.

Antonio is survived by his brothers and sisters, Ignatius Ayala (wife Patricia), Peter Ayala (Dorothy), Elena Cundiff (husband Gene), Maria Theis (Roger) and Alfredo Ayala; aunts Isabelle Ramirez and Esther Guerrero; group home mother, Jean Benson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his uncles, Frank Ramirez and Raymond Ramirez (Margaret).

Antonio was involved with the Special Olympics in bowling and swimming, both of which he enjoyed. He was also a Poster Client for the L.C.A.R.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N. Calumet Road, Chesterton. Private interment will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary. Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with a wake service at 7 p.m. www.EE-FH.com
