Service held for Patricia Holsapple

Former Chesterton resident Patricia L. Holsapple died June 18, 2010 in Paducah, Ky., surrounded by her three children and her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Parker L. Holsapple. She was 76.

She was born January 1, 1934 in Dycusburg, Ky. She is survived by her husband, Parker, of Marion, Ky.; children Jimmy and Cathy Holsapple of Chesterton, Rickey and Debbie Holsapple of Crittenden County, Ky., Darlene and Larry Peterson, Chesterton; grandchildren, Michael and Angel Holsapple, Tim Holsapple, Daryl and Hilary Peterson, Star and Josh Mahns, and Dana and Jacob Shreve; and great-grandchildren Evan Holsapple, Joshua Holsapple, Jacob and Caleb Mahns, and Lexi Shreve.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Litt and Pauline Ferguson; brother, Harold King Ferguson; and granddaughter Melissa Holsapple.

Pat and Parker lived in Chesterton in 1952 until moving to Florida in 1982 where they enjoyed retirement, fishing and living on Lake George. They moved back to Kentucky in 1999 and bought a farm and raised cattle and chickens and enjoyed farm life. Pat’s hobbies included her prize cattle, gardening, and bingo.

Visitation and funeral services were held at Myers Funeral Home in Marion on June 20. She was laid to rest under the shade trees at Asbridge Cemetery, Crittenden County, Ky.
