Jennifer Marie Grismer dies at 30

Jennifer Marie Grismer, of Chesterton, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 at VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. She was 30.

She was born Nov. 1, 1977 in Beech Grove, the daughter of David E. and Patricia M. (Swanson) Grismer, both of whom survive in Chesterton.

She is also survived by a brother, Michael Grismer, of Cloverdale; aunts and uncles, Charles (late Karen) Grismer, of Greenwood, Daniel (Jeanie) Swanson, of Fairfax, Va., Dorothy (Bruce) Sebert, of LaPorte, Veronica (Robert) Knuevan, of Littleton, Colo. Numerous cousins and many dear friends also survive.

Jenny had been employed by Jones New York Store, in the Lighthouse Mall in Michigan City. Her hobbies were scrapbooking and making jewelry with beads. She loved to travel and had traveled to Germany and Ireland. A three-time honoree for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society team in training. She participated in the Indianapolis Mini Marathon in 2004. Jenny had a great sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life, Pastor Jeffrey Dahlin officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

The family prefers memorials be given to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Indiana Chapter, 941 E. 86th St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240 or to VNA Horton Hospice Center, 501 Marquette St. Valparaiso, IN 46383.
