Frances Ann Sutton 'Honey' dies at 75

Frances Ann Sutton “Honey”, of Liberty Twp., passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at her home. She was 75.

She was born May 29, 1931 in Gary, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Muhvic) Zupevec, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Nov. 27, 1954 in Chesterton, she married Roy Marvin Sutton, who preceded her in death March 22, 1994.

She is survived by two sons, Rudolf (Nancy) Sutton of Liberty Twp. and John “Joe” (Susan) Sutton of Liberty Twp.; a daughter, Sharon (Randall) Darnell of Liberty Twp.; grandchildren, Spencer Sutton, Roy (Lindsey) Darnell, Michael (Amy) Darnell, Megan and Lucas Sutton.

She was also preceded by a grandson, Nathan Sutton.

Frances moved to her present home in 1941. She graduated from Liberty Twp. High School in 1949. She then attended and graduated from the South Bend College of Commerce. She was a home maker, a farmer, a caregiver, a mother, a grandmother and great-grandmother, a cook, a bartender, a secretary and a gardener.

She was never just a home maker. She was the owner of Our Place restaurant in Portage and South Haven Meat Market. She was a life-long member of the Harmony Bunco Club, she also attended Faith Memorial Lutheran Church.

A funeral service, Rev. John Albers officiating, will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 4 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
