Betty Louise Nairn dies at 66

Betty Louise Nairn, of Valparaiso, passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007 at VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. She was 66.

She was born Sept. 28, 1940 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Annabelle (Gall) Koesema, both of whom preceded her in death.

On April 11, 1964 in Chicago, she married Patrick L. Nairn, who survives.

She is also survived by three daughters, Jacqueline Nairn of Chesterton, Patricia (Peter) Boer of Valparaiso and Maureen Jones (fiancÚ Nicholas Bielski) of Valparaiso; three brothers, John (Lee) Koesema of Prudenville, Mich., Weber (Lori) Koesema of Kansas City, Mo. and Wayne (Chris) Koesema of Shorewood, Ill. and seven grandchildren, Jessica, Vanessa, Ambrosia, Joshua, Briana, MacKenzie and Julia.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister and a grandchild, Brittni.

Betty was employed as a Respite Care Giver for InPact in Crown Point. She was a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church.

A Funeral Mass, Fr. James Wozniak officiating, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22 at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Rd., Portage. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage and on Thursday at Nativity of Our Savior Church from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.
