Warning From

Health Department

PCHD was warning residents that the drop in new cases over the four-day period Thursday-Sunday “should not be considered as a true indicator of community spread.” On the contrary, PCHD said, “it is most likely to primarily be the result of almost all of the testing sites being closed over the Christmas weekend and the upcoming New Year’s weekend.”

As of Sunday, PCHD was putting the 0-19 demographic at 1.7K cases; the 20-29 at 2.2K; the 30-39 at 1.9K; the 40-49 at 2K; the 50-59 at 1.9K; and the 60-69 at 1.4K.

The other demographic totals as of Sunday: 70-79, 746 cases (703 on Tuesday); 80-89, 403 cases (377); and 90-and-over, 159 (151).
