Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on the 18th of August, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana to consider the petition of David and Sue Ranus, 54 S. 450 E., Valparaiso, seeking Variances from the Unified Development Ordinance: Section 2.08 A-1 District Development Standards; Minimum Side Setback – Accessory Structure – requesting a reduction of a side setback, from 30 ft. to 4 feet; and Section 5.04 AS-01 Accessory Structure; General – (F) Placement; to construct a 36 ft by 52 ft detached accessory structure in the front yard of a residence, in a General Agricultural District, on a parcel located on the following described property:
A parcel of land in the SW 1/4 of Section 3, Township 34 North, Range 5 West of the 2nd P.M. in Morgan Township, Porter County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of said SW 1/4; thence South along the East line of said SW 1/4, a distance of 290.00 feet; thence West parallel with the North line of said SW 1/4, a distance of 300.00 feet; thence North parallel with the East line of said SW 1/4, a distance of 290.00 feet to said North line; thence East along the North line, 300.00 feet to the point of beginning. Contains 2 acres more or less.
GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel of land located at 54 S. 450 E., in Morgan Township, Porter County, Indiana.
Written suggestions to said proposed Use Variance may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above-designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
