Voice
of the People:
Jackson Alumni is currently researching the township schools for a book
to be done by October of this year.
Going back 100 years - We have F.M. Goldsborough as teacher at Thelma,
One-room Jackson School in 1901-02.
In 1902-03 he was Principal at Jackson Center. Also, in 1903-04 and
1904-05 he was the Principal there.
In 1905-06 we find he became the Principal at Chesterton High School.
Indeed, it appears he had over 55 years of teaching and administration.
What a wonderful story he might have written about education experiences
he had from the one-room schools to schools in the 1950's!
We too, are proud to have had him in the beginning of the Jackson Township
Schools.
