Waverly Rd., Beam St. petitions to get public hearings Wednesday

Two public hearings take place Wednesday at the Porter town hall.

At 6:30 p.m. the Board of Zoning Appeals will conduct a hearing on a developmental standards variance (1124 W. Beam St.). Prior to it a preliminary hearing is scheduled on an application for developmental standards variance at 1555 Coleman St.

At 7 p.m. or at the conclusion of the BZA, whichever is later, the Porter Plan Commission will convene to conduct a public hearing on an application for subdivision approval (401 Waverly Rd.).

In all three cases the agendas do not list the name of the petitioners or the specific nature of the zoning relief they are seeking. Each board also will hear respective staff reports, and the public may address board members on non-agenda items as the meetings begin.

Under old business, the Plan Commission will review the status of a letter of credit (Mineral Springs Villas).
