The Town of Porter is looking for a few good men and women to serve on its boards and commissions.

Available are two seats on the Redevelopment Commission, one on the Metropolitan Police Commission, one on the Board of Zoning Appeals, and two on the Park Board (one Democrat and one Republican).

Interested residents should submit a letter indicating which board/commission they prefer and send it to the Porter Town Hall, 303 Franklin St., Porter IN 46304. Letters will be accepted through Dec. 21.

The Town Council next meets Dec. 27 at 5 p.m. due to the Christmas holiday.
