Commissioner John Schnadenberg figures that leaf-fall is roughly two weeks
behind the usual seasonal schedule.
And--as he told the
Town Council Monday night--he’s been getting calls from residents concerned
that their yards may be full of leaves until next April.
Not to worry,
Schnadenberg said: the Street Department has extended its leaf program
beyond the usual end-date: the day before Thanksgiving. This year crews will
continue leaf collection into the first week of December.
“So folks don’t
have to call anymore,” Schnadenberg added.
