Two weeks ago,
Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer Stephanie Kuziela announced an opening on the
Board of Zoning Appeals--created by member Rodney Corder’s resignation--and
asked residents interested in serving on the BZA to submit letters of
application by Wednesday, June 22.
Since then, Kuziela
told the Town Council at its meeting Monday night, she has received no
letters of application at all.
The new deadline
accordingly is 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 6. Submit those letters to the
Clerk-Treasurer’s Office, located at the municipal complex at 1490 Broadway.
There is no
political affiliation requirement but candidates must be residents of the
town. They may not, however, be employees of the town.
