It’s time for Chesterton residents to begin cleaning winter’s residue from
their yards.
At the Town
Council’s meeting Monday night, Street Commissioner John Schnadenberg
announced that the annual Spring Cleanup Week starts on Monday, April 16.
Schnadenberg
reminded residents of a few requirements:
•Do not
mix piles of leaves with piles of brush. Separate them.
•Haul leaves and
brush piles to the curbside.
•Do not
leave piles in alleys. They will not be collected.
Schnadenberg
said that crews will be starting at one end of the town and moving to the
other, street by street.
Folks who miss
collection should call the Street Department at 926-2222 to arrange one.
