Spring Cleanup in town begins April 17

Back To Front Page

The Chesterton Street Department’s annual Spring Cleanup Week is officially on the schedule, beginning on Monday, April 17.

Street Commissioner John Schnadenberg is encouraging folks to begin raking leaves and hauling brush to the curb now, because once the cleanup program is over the leaf vacs will be put out of service until the fall.

In the event of inclement weather, the program will be extended until the Street Department has made a complete pass through town.

Schnadenberg is also reminding folks: brush and leaf piles must be separated, or crews will leave them where they sit.
