A few lots in the
first phase of Easton Park will have their side yard setbacks reduced from
five to four feet to correct an oversight.
The Chesterton Plan
Commission voted 6-0 to amend the Planned Unit Development for Easton Park
to change the setback and to assign corrected addresses and lot numbers.
principal of ATG Real Estate Development, said the lots for the homes are 50
feet wide while the width for the homes are 44 feet. However, the eaves for
the roofs would jut out into the setback, which is why the developers wished
to get the setback corrected so the eaves would not be in the setback.
Gastvich said there
will still be a buffer of at least ten feet in between the homes.
Easton Park is
located on 130 acres on the east side of CR 250E at the eastern terminus of
East Porter Ave. Gastovich said construction is ready to proceed and the
lots are being bought up.
Not present at the
10-minute meeting was Planner Jeff Ton.
