Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at town
hall, 726 Broadway.
The Board will hold
a public hearing on the Town of Chestertonís petition for three variances
needed for the boxcar restroom project in Thomas Centennial Park:
* The first
variance would allow an accessory structure to sit two feet away from the
rear property line, when Town Code requires five feet of clearance.
* The second would
allow an accessory structure to sit 11 inches away from the primary
structure--the roof overhang of the Duneland Chamber of Commerceís offices
in the old New York Central passenger depot--when Town Code requires 10 feet
* The third would
allow the accessory structure to be up to 20 feet tall, when Town Code
allows a maximum height of 16 feet.
