Celebrate 50 Years of Town of Burns Harbor: At Wednesday's Burns Harbor Town Council meeting, the town's elected officials signed a Proclamation honoring the 50th Anniversary of the town's incorporation. The town was incorporated on September 9, 1967 and the officials and members of the community have been observing the semi-centennial with celebrations and dedications throughout the year. A holiday ornament commemorating the anniversary will be available later this fall. Left to right are Councilman Marcus Rogala, Councilman Kevin Tracy, Council President Ray Poparad, Council Vice-President Eric Hull and Councilwoman Toni Biancardi. Not pictured is Clerk-Treasurer Jane Jordan, who also signed the Proclamation. The Proclamation is now framed and displayed at the Burns Harbor Town Hall for the public to view.
