European Market on the Square will celebrate its first month in operation
this week, from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 27.
family-friendly event is a partnership of the Burns Harbor Redevelopment
Commission and the Duneland Chamber of Commerce, bringing the Chesterton
European Market to Burns Harbor’s Food Truck Square.
The event features
food trucks, vendors from the Chesterton European Market, live music, and a
free bounce house. One a month a beer garden and car show are featured as
well. Guests are welcome to pitch a blanket on the lawn and listen to the
live music while enjoying a delicious dinner from one of the food vendors.
“This is an
easy-going, local event that is tailor-made for a weeknight crowd, whether
you are getting off of work and want a quick dinner or you want to take the
kids out for some inexpensive fun, we are the place to do it,” Market
Director Jacqueline Thomas said.
European Market on
the Square is held on the former site of the Westport Community Club on Ind.
