BH planners to present new facade plans

The Burns Harbor Advisory Plan Commission will meeting at 7 p.m. Monday for its monthly meet at the Town Hall, 1240 N. Boo Rd.

The Commission will discuss new facades for different sections of the town. At Wednesday’s Redevelopment Commission, planner Toni Biancardi said the Commission will look at different facades for the downtown district and other zones.

Planner Bernie Poparad told the RDC the Plan Commission has worked hard to create the look of the facades. “I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised,” he said.

In old business, the Plan Commission will have final site review for Curly’s Custom Cycles.

There will be a continued discussion on allowing chickens in residential districts and another on garbage and refuse in the current Town code.

The Commission will also talk signage regarding flags, pennants, pole banners and allowable signage on personal property.

There will be preliminary hearing on an ordinance for fee table amendments.

The public may give comment during the good of the order of the community.
