The Burns Harbor Town Council takes up a billing ordinance for planned
basic-life-support ambulance transport by its Fire Department when it meets
Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the town hall, 1240 N. Boo Rd.
Town legislative districts also will be discussed. Likely acted upon will be
filling the vacant seat on the Advisory Plan Commission and hiring a
part-time secretary for two zoning boards and the Building/Sanitation
Department.
A report on the status of contracted demolition of the long-abandoned
Standard Plaza truck stop on U.S. 20 will be given; an update may be given
on attempts to bring the Rainbow Trailer Park into compliance.
Activities
regarding the upcoming 2010 census and speed limits in town subdivisions are
both on the agenda. The public may address the council on other matters at
the meeting’s conclusion.
