Volleyball announces awards winners

The CHS volleyball team announced its fall sports awards winners at its banquet last week.

The Most Valuable Player awards on the varsity went to Maggie Vrahoretis and Meghan Gaffigan, while other award winners were Katie Nelson (Mental Attitude), Greta Tilden (Sportsmanship) and Brooke Smith (Trojan Award).

Junior Varsity Awards went to Heather Van Eekeren (MVP), Alyssa South (Most Improved), Elle Stone (Mental Attitude) and Lanie Kitchell (Sportsmanship).

Freshman Award winners included Emma Ioannidis (MVP), Riley Tosseng (Most Improved) and Rylee Schultz (Sportsmanship).

Letterwinners for the Trojans included seniors Tilden, Vrahoretis and Maddie Wagner, while junior letterwinners were Reece Czarniecki, AJ Devereaux, Emma Ekblaw, Celia Faroh, Gaffigan, Grace Newman, Ella Rodriguez and Smith.

Other letterwinners were sophomore Katie Nelson and freshmen Eva Everett.

Junior Varsity award winners were Olyvia Clark (10), Kylie Campbell (9), Elia Fuentes (10), Kitchel (10), Eva Lemley (9), Gianna Raffin (10), Maggie Ray (9), South (10), Stone (10), Maddie Surane (10), Petra Tilden (10), Van Eekeren (10), Amara Watkins (10) and Emily Wheeler (9).

Freshmen award winners were Ajah Bigg, Addie Egan, Sophia Gudion, Kaitlyn Henry, Ioannidis, Charlee MacKeigan, Abby Redman, Avary Robinson, Schultz, Tosseng and Brooklynn Williams.

Greta Tilden and Vrahoretis served as captains for the Trojans during the 2020 season.
