Trojan Volleyball falls in 4 games at LaPorte

The Chesterton volleyball team dropped a 25-21, 27-29, 25-20, 25-16 decision at LaPorte on Tuesday night.

Offensively, Aubrey Nagdeman had 12 kills with Jessica Urycki adding 11 kills. Emily Marcus recorded six kills and Sammi Ostrom had five.

Shelby Snyder dished out 20 assists and Kennedy Baltus had 17 helpers.

Defensively, Jordyn Moleski had a team-high 25 digs with Sara Tarnowski and Marcus recording nine each. Snyder and Nagdeman each had seven digs.

At the net, Nagdeman had three block kills as Urycki, Sammi Ostrom and Ali Ostrom all had two block kills.

Junior Varsity

LaPorte 25-25, Chesterton 11-17

The Chesterton junior varsity dropped a 25-11, 25-17 decision at LaPorte.

Offensively, Abby Moon had five kills with Lia Lombardini tallying three kills. Kaitlin Kuypers had two kills.

Caitlyn Toth dished out eight assists.

Defensively, Lombardini had 12 digs with Alaina Kogler adding six digs. Kuypers and Moon each had five digs.


Chesterton 25-25, LaPorte 24-24

The Chesterton freshmen picked up their biggest win of the season, a 25-24, 25-24 victory at LaPorte.

Offensively, Morgan Fulayter had seven kills with Hayley McBride adding six. Taylor Cruz tallied five kills.

Maddie Jones dished out a team-best 11 assists as Alex Devereaux and Fulayter each recorded three service aces.

Defensively, Hannah Mix had eight digs with McBride, Devereaux and Jones tallying five digs each.
