Trojan Volleyball falls in 3 games to Valparaiso

The Chesterton volleyball team dropped a 25-18, 25-19, 25-21 Duneland Athletic Conference decision to Valparaiso on Tuesday night.

Offensively, Kristin Stillman led the Trojans with 11 kills, while Ginger Hedrick added eight kills. Taylor Bowser tallied five kills.

Ella Whitmore and Olivia Smilgius each handed out 11 assists on the night.

Defensively, Sammy Devereaux had a team-high 17 digs with Stillman and Lorann Lombardini each adding 10 digs.

At the net, Hedrick had eight blocks and Ariel Rohe added six. Whitmore recorded four blocks with Paige Seely adding three blocks.

On the service line, Tessa Tilden led the way with two aces.

The Trojans return to the court on Thursday when they host Crown Point. The JV game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.
