girls tennis team opened IHSAA Sectional play on Tuesday with a 5-0 victory
over Wheeler at Portage High School.
The Trojans will
face Valparaiso in Wednesday’s semifinal at 4:15 p.m. The other semifinal
will match Portage against Boone Grove.

Nabhan won for the seventh time in her last eight matches, beating Haley
Collins 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1.
At No. 2, Ashley
Fazekas beat Emma Heinold 7-5, 6-4 and Paige Donovan completed the singles
sweep with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Laurel Stevenson 6-2, 6-1.
In doubles, Kara
Maggio and Megan Hill beat Gabriella Ramirez and Kylee Rosko 6-2, 6-2 at No.
1 before Taylor Nemtuda and Eliza Tumbas beat Paige Podlesak and Tessa
Haldeman at No. 2.

time of year for your team to be playing their best tennis,” Bour said.
