Trojan Tennis falls to South Bend Adams

The Chesterton boys tennis team won both doubles points, but couldnít find one in singles in dropping a 3-2 decision to South Bend Adams on Saturday.

Adam Scheerer and Zac Nabhan had little trouble at No. 1 doubles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Lukas Hostetler and Raymond Han.

Remy Hoang and Brent Sergent picked up the second team point with a 6-4, 6-1 win against Greg Williams and Phil Hostetler.

The Trojans only chance in singles came at No. 2 where Trey Moffett won the opening set against Joe Chandler 6-4, but fell 6-1, 6-1 in the final two sets.

Chesterton returns to the court on Tuesday when they travel to Wheeler to face the Bearcats at 4:15 p.m.

Chesterton's Brady Wade, Conner Kuhnle, Christian O'Brien and Tom McGue all won their singles matches, while the duo of James Jewison and Tristen Manuzsak won at No. 1 doubles for the Trojans.

Chestertonís junior varsity is now 2-0 on the year.
