Trojan Golfers win 2 of 3 DAC matches

The Chesterton boys golf team won twice on Tuesday, but fell on Wednesday, as they continued their trek through the Duneland Athletic Conference.

On Tuesday, the Trojans shot a 167 team score to edge Crown Point (168) and Merrillville (219) at Youche Country Club.

Austin Johnson shot a one-over-par 37 to lead Chesterton with Logan Krantz following with a 40. Zach Von Huben fired a 44 with Brandon Martin (46) and Evan Zondor (47) rounding out the scoring.

On Wednesday, the Trojans dropped a 154-166 decision at Beechwood to LaPorte.

Johnson and Martin each shot 40 to lead the way. Zondor and Krantz fired 43’s, while Von Huben finished the scoring with a 45.
