Trojan Golfers split in triangular match

The Chesterton boys golf team split a Duneland Athletic Conference triangular at Michigan City on Thursday.

Michigan City won the meet with a 165, followed by the Trojans (169) and Merrillville (203).

John Kelley led Chesterton with a 37 and Eric Richardson shot 41. They were followed by Zach Von Huben (43), Kyle Krol (48) and Michael Zondor (49).

The Chesterton junior varsity picked up a pair of wins on Thursday at Michigan City. CHS fired a 185 team score to beat the host Wolves (224) and Merrillville (228).

Gabe Davis and Nick Friel both shot 44 for the Trojans. They were followed by Eli Winski (47), Matt Keator (50) and Colton Bogich (52).
