Trojan Golfers beat Lake Central and Portage

The Chesterton boys golf team picked up a pair of Duneland Athletic Conference victories on Tuesday at Sand Creek.

The Trojans shot a 172 team score on the Lake Course to best Lake Central (179) and Portage (181).

Brandon Martin and Jay Crots each shot 41 to lead Chesterton. Logan Krantz followed with a 43 and Evan Zondor tallied a 47. Austin Johnson rounded out the scoring with a 50.

Lake Centralís TC Cameron shot 40 to take medalist honors.

Junior Varsity

Lake Central 169, Chesterton 177, Portage 237

The Chesterton junior varsity split a pair of matches on Tuesday at Sand Creek.

Lake Central won the triangular with a 169, while the Trojans shot 177 and Portage fired 237.

Scott Chemma led the way for Chesterton with a 42. Zach Von Huben shot 43, while Alec Slazas and John Kelley each fired 46. Zach Bogich rounded out the scoring with a 48.
