The Chesterton girls track team split a Duneland Athletic Conference double dual on Tuesday night with a 73-59 victory over Merrillville, and a loss, 67-65, to Portage.

Individual winners for the Trojans included Haley Cushway in the 1600 (5:37.03), Katie Behrendt in the 400 (1:01.59), Tori Schroeder in the 800 (2:32.45) and Stephanie Fisher in the 300 hurdles (47.41).

Chesterton also won the 4x800 relay with the quartet of Rosie Biehl, Cushway, Kristen Homme and Jenna Norgaard in 10:12.72, while the 4x400 group of Schroeder, Behrendt, Kristin Mabry and Anna Raffin also won in 4:10.88.

Second place finishers included Fisher (100 hurdles, 16.60), Homme in the 1600 (5:38.31), Geena Tumidalsky in the high jump (4-10) and Juli Sutter in the shot put (32-0)

Third place finishers were Cushway (800, 2:35.15), Homme (3200, 12:17.60), Hannah Van Drie (shot put, 29-4 1) and Sara Filipek (discus, 96-2).
