The Chesterton girls tennis team remained perfect in Duneland Athletic Conference play with a 5-0 victory at Merrillville on Thursday.

The Trojans swept singles play with a victory by Bobbi Modesto at No. 1 over Miranda Vega 6-0, 6-1 and Meg Modesto at No. 2 over Lauren Carmello 6-0, 6-2. Sunny Lee beat Jelene Djurdjevic 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3.

In doubles, Margaret Shinn and J.J. Lee won 6-0, 6-0 over Aliyah Williams and Tia Harris at No. 1. Rachel McCrum and Amanda Susnak were victorious over Conor Shea and Victoria Miller 6-4, 6-1.

Chesterton is now 9-1 overall and 4-0 in DAC play.
