The Chesterton
girls basketball team held Hammond Morton scoreless in the first quarter and
cruised to a 55-20 non-conference victory Tuesday night.
The Trojans built a
13-0 lead and pushed it to 29-8 at the half.
Emma Schmidt led
CHS with 15 points and Ashley Craycraft tallied 11 points. Nalani
Malackowski tallied nine points in the victory.
Rounding out the
scoring were Emma Pape (8 points), Lauren Davis (6 points), Kaitlyn Carr (4
points) and Hollie Skoczek (2 points).
The Trojans hit on
21-of-57 shots (37 percent) from the field, while holding the Governors to
just 8-of-32 shooting (25 percent).
Chesterton returns
to the court on Friday night when they host South Central. The JV game is
set for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.

The Chesterton
junior varsity had little trouble in picking up a 46-14 victory at Hammond
Morton on Tuesday.
Liz Pokorney led
the Trojans with 14 points, while Madison Davis and Emily Richardson added
eight points each.
Rounding out the
scoring were Anna Hawkins (5 points), Mannat Singh (4 points), Kristina
Kokot (3 points), Chloe Wisniewski (2 points) and Annalisa Hackett (2
points).
