Trojan girls basketball team beats Bishop Noll

The Chesterton girls basketball team improved to 16-3 on the year with a 49-45 non-conference victory at Bishop Noll on Tuesday.

The Trojans built a 31-22 halftime advantage and held on for the victory.

Ashley Craycraft led the Trojans with 24 points, including five 3-pointers, while Nalani Malackowski tallied nine points.

Rounding out the scoring were Kaitlyn Carr (7 points), Emma Schmidt (5 points) and Carley Balas (4 points).

Chesterton returns to the court on Friday night when they travel to Crown Point to face the Bulldogs in a girls/boys doubleheader. The girls varsity game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 45, Bishop Noll 22

The Chesterton junior varsity picked up another victory with a 45-22 win at Bishop Noll.

Liz Pokorney led the Trojan offense with 10 points, while Emily Richardson and Abi Drew both tallied seven points.

Rounding out the scoring were Layla Ferguson (6 points), Anna Hawkins (4 points), Madison Davis (4 points), Chloe Wisniewski (3 points), Annalisa Hackett (2 points) and Kristina Kokot (2 points).
