Trojan Girls Basketball beats Highland 52-43

The Chesterton girls basketball team used a big third quarter to pick up a 52-43 non-conference victory at Highland on Tuesday night.

Trailing 23-18, the Trojans outscored Highland 19-8 and held on.

Caroline Puntillo led Chesterton with 19 points and Kassidy Scott scored 10 points (10-for-10 from the foul line). Hailee Norton scored six points, including two 3-pointers, in the win.

On the night, the Trojans were 21-of-31 from the foul line. Both Chesterton and Highland made 13 field goals on the night.

Junior Varsity

Highland 31, Chesterton 26

The Chesterton junior varsity dropped a 31-26 decision at Highland on Tuesday.

Jenna Tarnowski and Sam Warren led the Trojansí offense with six points each, while Shannon McCoy added four points.

Rounding out the scoring for Chesterton were Lia Lombardini (3 points), Tara Schnadenberg (2 points), Xaundra Rodriguez (2 points), Brittany Milzarek (2 points) and Camie Brown (1 point).
