Trojan Boys Tennis remains unbeaten

The Chesterton boys tennis team improved to 4-0 on the year and 2-0 in Duneland Athletic Conference play with a 5-0 victory over Michigan City on Thursday.

Johny Mario was the first Trojan off the court with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Zack Biggs at No. 1 singles. Dylan Jayasuriya won at No. 2 6-3, 6-0 and Zac Nabhan won at No. 3 6-0, 6-1 to sweep singles play.

In doubles, Conner Kuhnle and Trey Moffett beat William Harber and Nick Sebert 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1. At No. 2, Tom McGue and Chris Fouts beat Caleb Raymer and Tyler Westman 6-4, 6-3.

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 6, Michigan City 0

Chestertonís James Jewison, Cameron Cook and Colten Carter swept singles matches in straight sets as the Trojansí junior varsity won 6-0 over Michigan City.

Alec Emmons and Ryan Harmon won in three sets at No. 1 doubles, while the No. 2 doubles team of Fred Owen and Sajag Agarwal won 4-0, 4-0.

At No. 3 doubles, Nate Dickinson and Tanner Fowler won in straight sets.
