Trojan Boys Tennis blanks Hanover Central

The Chesterton boys tennis team improved to 10-1 on the season with a 5-0 non-conference sweep over Hanover Central on Friday.

In singles, Fabio Haiduc blitzed Nathan Remaly in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1, while Drake Redman beat Aiden Beilke 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2.

Troy Feller completed the singles sweep with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 over Ryan Mueller.

In doubles, John Powell and Brock Redman beat Jacob Schulman and Nick Holden 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 and David Archbald and John Petro beat Jackson McKay and Nick Miederna 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2.

The Trojans return to the court on Monday when they travel to Lowell for a 4:15 p.m. start.

Junior Varsity

Chesterton 6, Hanover Central 1

The Chesterton junior varsity beat Hanover Central 6-1 on Friday.

Singles winners for the Trojans included Danny Vear (No. 1), Mark Jewison (No. 2) and Alex Henderson (No. 3).

In doubles, wins came from Max Haughtington and Jai Barath (No. 1), CJ Adent and Ben Van Wagner (No. 2), Payton Whalen and Paul Scott (No. 3) and Gavin Rivera and Sam Slutzkin (No. 4).
