The Chesterton boys soccer team got back on the right track with an impressive 4-0 Duneland Athletic Conference shutout of Portage on Wednesday night.

Its nice to get back on track after a tough stretch of really good opponents, Chesterton coach Jamie Sensibaugh said. I could not be more proud of my team with their effort tonight and the way they took the things we learned from those losses and brought them to the field.

Harley Lohmeyer scored all four goals for the Trojans as they put relentless pressure on the Portage defense.

We just looked much better overall moving forward and in the defensive third tonight, Sensibaugh said. It was a DAC match under the lights. Its always good to get a win.

Robbie Capehart (2 assists) and Bailey Arthur (1 assist) dished out helpers in the victory, while Doug Filipek recorded five saves.

Chesterton returns to the field on Saturday when they travel to Ft. Wayne to face Canterbury. The JV game is scheduled for 11 a.m.
